ABOUT RENE
Rene Fernandez stepped into the entertainment world early, picking up the trombone in the 6th grade and quickly discovering a passion that would take him across the United States, including a featured performance in the Portland Rose Parade. After college, he shifted from music to the spotlight, pursuing acting in film and television. His screen credits include General Hospital, Santa Barbara, Vanishing Son, and several CBS Movies of the Week, along with co‑starring roles such as FX’s Terriers, filmed in San Diego.
Reigniting his musical roots, Rene joined the vocal jazz ensemble Sounds Divine, coached by Alan Paul of The Manhattan Transfer. With tight harmonies and disciplined rehearsals, the group performed throughout San Diego at venues such as Humphrey’s, the Oceanside Jazz Festival, and the Del Mar Fairgrounds, sharing the stage with The Osmonds.
Collaborating with musicians across San Diego County opened doors to new creative partnerships, ultimately inspiring Rene to form his own band, The Beat Allegiance, in 2020. With support from Earth, Wind & Fire drummer John Paris, the band performed at Sycuan Casino and multiple times at Pala Casino.
Today, Rene performs with a rotating lineup of top‑tier musicians — from duo to trio to full band — giving him the freedom to explore the music he loves. With a vast library spanning Yacht Rock, Jazz, Classic Soul, Motown, R&B, Old School, Latin, and romantic favorites, Rene delivers an unforgettable musical experience tailored to every audience.
